On May 27, 2026, Association members approved an amended constitution. For more information, go to www.dc37retirees.org/amend. The revised constitution calls for the nominations to be held in June of 2026 for a term of three years. Nominations will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST for the following offices:

• President

• Executive Vice President

• Secretary-Treasurer

• Recording Secretary

• Associate Secretary-Treasurer

• Associate Recording Secretary

• Ten (10) Vice Presidents*

  • Vice President – Brooklyn
  • Vice President – Queens
  • Vice President – Bronx
  • Vice President – Manhattan
  • Vice President – Staten Island
  • Vice President – Nassau and Suffolk Counties
  • Vice President – New York (outside of the 5 boroughs and Nassauand Suffolk Counties)
  • Vice President – Florida
  • Vice President – New Jersey
  • Vice President – At-Large (outside of FL, NJ, NY)

The nominations meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST. You can participate in the virtual nominations meeting via Zoom or on the phone.

Nominations will be accepted at the nomination meeting on June 24, 2026, as well as in writing, via email ([email protected]) or hand-delivered to the Association office at  125 Barclay St., New York, NY, up until 12:00 noon on June 24, 2026.  

If there is only one nominee for any office, that nominee shall be declared elected by  acclamation. If there is more than one nominee for any office and an election is necessary,  an election will be held by secret mail ballot among members in good standing as of the last day of May 2026. Ballots shall be mailed in July, no less than three weeks after the nominations meeting. There will be a voting period of three weeks. The election will be administered by an outside, impartial third-party vendor.   

Please note that there is also a hybrid membership meeting on Friday, June 26, 2026  at 10:30 AM in person at 125 Barclay St., New York, NY, and via Webex. (Webex info will be emailed and posted on the Association website prior to the meeting.) Any officer elected by acclamation at the virtual nominations meeting on Wednesday will be sworn in at this meeting.
