A former administrator for the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.  Lesly holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration. Lesly began his career as a Property Manager while overseeing a Site Office. He served for years as Director of Urban Renewal and Property Management Services and worked tirelessly towards the housing revitalization of NYC.  He supervised programs that provided property management services for residential and commercial properties, as well as relocation services for families and businesses from areas slated for redevelopment throughout the City of NY.

Lesly is a sports enthusiast who played soccer for many years and college.   He coached youth soccer, and worked as a referee with the American Youth Soccer Organization and the Long Island Junior Soccer League.  His concern and passion led him to establish a program to utilize soccer as a developmental tool to help Haiti’s youth. This project, through soccer, offered unique opportunities to promote health, tolerance, leadership skills, teamwork, fair play, cooperation and unity. His efforts have enriched the lives of hundreds of children and have been supportive to many soccer leagues.  He currently serves on the Executive Board of DC 37 Retirees Association. Among other initiatives, he plans to offer and undertake outreach campaigns and services to attract unaffiliated retirees to join.
